The Cozumel Grapes Brown BBQ Pit Chimenea is made to a very high specification by hand in a traditional way in Mexico. Because the Cozumel Grapes Brown BBQ Pit Chimeneas are made by hand they are all unique and this add to the overall finish and feel of the product. The Chimenea itself is finished with a smooth feel which creates a soft clay to touch. Each of the Chimeneas within the Cozumel Grapes Brown BBQ Pit range come with a lid which should be placed on top of the Chiminea when it is not in use to stop any rain water entering. As soon as the Chimenea is in use you should remove the lid so the smoke can escape through the flume. The Cozumel Grapes Brown BBQ Pit Chimenea comes with a Steel frame 3 legged stand which helps raise the Chimenea of the ground. This Cozumel Grapes Brown BBQ Pit Chiminea also fits securely into the Chimenea Cradle shown in the related products to the right of the page. When you place the Chimenea in the Cradle is creates a great area for cooking and allows you extra use from your Chimenea. We do not recommend you place an already hot Chimenea into the Cradle as the Clay will be hot. If you intend using the Chimenea and Cradle together we suggest you set up the area before lighting the fuel and heating the Chimenea. All Chimeneas should be covered when not in use to help protect the Clay and stop any deterioration which may be caused by adverse weather. As some deterioration is inevitable we also suggest the clear Chimseal solution is applied regularly to maintain the original look of the clay colour. The Chimseal will also help to stop cracks appearing on the Chimenea. Please see the recommended covers and care products in the related products shown to the right of this page. We do not recommend you use coal as a fuel in clay chimeneas as it burns too hot and can cause the clay to crack. We do however recommend that you use log fuel to heat your Chimenea as this burns hot but will not cause the clay to crack. Finally, we recommend using the Chimenea & Firepit Guard when you Chimenea is hot as this will stop adults and childrens getting too close to the Chimenea will reduce the chance of anyone getting burnt. We believe this is a great safety device and everyone who buys a Chimenea or Firepit should have one.
